Mauve’s Marathon Marvels

Tackle The Great North Run for Charity!

This coming Sunday, our brand-new sales manager Annette Ord and CFO John Ellis will be tackling the Great North Run in Newcastle to support a fantastic cause – the British Heart Foundation.

The British Heart Foundation is a charity fighting to end heart disease in the UK, supporting the seven million people suffering with cardiovascular issues nationwide. As they attack the half-marathon’s course, Annette and John will be raising sponsorship money to fund vital research into prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

The Great North Run takes place over a 13.1 mile course stretching from the iconic Tyne Bridge out to the coast in South Shields; it is the largest half-marathon in the world as certified by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2016. Last year, Team GB legend Mo Farah became the first person to win the race three times consecutively. As a veteran long-distance runner with over 100 full marathons under his belt, Mauve’s CFO and co-founder John will be pace-setting for Annette – also no stranger to the GNR, Annette completed the course in 2014.

From all the team at Mauve, we wish the best of luck to Annette and John and can’t wait to hear how they get on! If you want to add your support and sponsor the Mauve team as they raise money for this fantastic cause, please click the link below to donate:
