Mauve CFO supports future leaders at Alumnable Careers Bootcamp
Mauve’s CFO, John Ellis, supports future leaders at the Alumnable Careers Bootcamp, sharing career insights and practical advice to help students succeed.
During a recent visit to Australia, where he ran his 111th marathon, this time in aid of Children with Cancer, Mauve's Chief Financial Officer, John Ellis, joined students at the Alumnable Careers Bootcamp in Melbourne. While there, John shared career advice, leadership insights, and reflections on helping to build Mauve Group into the global organisation it is today.
Hosted at La Trobe University's City Campus, the bootcamp brings together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals to provide students with practical guidance as they prepare to enter the workforce. Through workshops, networking opportunities, and guest speaker sessions, participants gain valuable insights into the skills and experiences needed to build successful careers.
Speaking to students as part of the programme, John discussed his own professional journey, starting out as a telecoms engineer, before co-founding Mauve Group with his wife Ann Ellis, in 1996. John imparted lessons learned throughout his career, and the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, and strong leadership in today's evolving global business environment.
As a company that helps organisations employ and manage talent compliantly across Australia and more than 150 countries worldwide, Mauve understands the value of investing in future generations and creating opportunities for young people to thrive in an increasingly international workforce.
Mauve is committed to supporting education, innovation, and professional development initiatives that help bridge the gap between academic study and the world of work. Mauve has supported seven of the eight Ivy League universities across the United States, as well as a number of other educational institutions worldwide.
We are delighted to see our leadership team contributing their expertise to programmes that inspire and empower emerging professionals.
We would like to thank John and the team at Alumnable for supporting future innovators, entrepreneurs, and business leaders through this valuable initiative.
