What is needed to evaluate a candidate’s immigration eligibility?

What are some of the different types of visas and permits?

Name	Use	Example
Business Visa	Business activities such as conferences, meetings, and training. No paid activities allowed.	Thailand’s Non-Immigrant Type B Visa
Employment Pass	Official government-approved permit allowing the applicant to work and get paid in a country.	Singapore’s Employment Pass
Digital Nomad Visa	New type of visa introduced after the COVID pandemic. The visa can be used by those wishing to work and reside in a third country, while remaining on their home country payroll. After 183 days, it must be considered where the digital nomad should be paying taxes.	Ecuador’s ‘Rentista’ / Digital Nomad Visa
Permanent Residency	Usually awarded to an employee after they have spent a set period in a country on a Temporary Resident Permit. A Permanent Residency allows the holder to work freely and reside in the country, as a local citizen would.	Various
Schengen Visa	Tourism and business activities in countries within the Schengen Zone. Work is not permitted. Valid for 90 days out of every 180-day period. Can be applied for independently, without corporate sponsorship. A letter of invitation from the country of visit may be required. If travelling to multiple countries, the application should be made to the first country arriving in.	N/A
Temporary Resident Permit	Allows the holder to reside for a defined time period in a foreign country. Does not always allow the holder to work.	Various
Temporary Work Visa	May be required after approval of a work permit, to allow the worker to enter the country. This is an entry visa based on pre-approved employment. The worker must enter the country within a certain time period to collect the work permit.	Europe’s D Visa
Tourist Visa	Recreational visits only (although some business activities may be permitted, as is the case with the ESTA visa in the USA).	US ESTA
Work Permit	Official government-approved permit allowing the applicant to work and be paid in a country.	UK’s Skilled Worker Visa

Can Mauve Group sponsor work and residency permits?

Yes, although this would be classed as immigration support under our Employer of Record (EoR) services. When employed via our Employer of Record (EoR) service, Mauve Group or our in-country representatives will sponsor work and residency permits for expatriate workers who need them.

The information on this page pertains to our standalone corporate immigration services – whereby we can advise on the best immigration route and requirements for a worker, or carry out immigration and visa applications on behalf of another company/employer.

Can the worker be located in-country while a visa or work permit application is pending?

Is it necessary to cancel a work permit?

Can you support families that are also relocating?

What costs should we consider beyond the visa or permit fee?

Mauve Group will advise on all relevant costs for the immigration application. In addition to any legal fees or associated government filing fees, depending on the specific visa process, there may be costs associated with the following:
