Hours of work: Flexibility is required, to meet international business working hours.

The role:

Mauve Group is seeking to partner with HR consultants based in Europe. As this is a freelance consultancy role, the successful candidate will be demonstrably self-employed, and will support our organisation with HR and employment advice and solutions across several European countries on an ad hoc basis.

We are particularly interested in those HR partners who have proven experience in one or several of the following European countries listed below:

  • Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal, Republic of Ireland;
  • Greece, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia;
  • Slovenia, Malta, Cyprus;
  • Balkan states - Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia;
  • Baltic states - Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia.

The successful partner will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, employment law, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience providing expert legal advice in the European market on employment law matters and practical application.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment law, regulations, and statutes in several European satiates, including collective bargaining arrangements.
  • The ability to deal with client employment law queries – directly or indirectly on behalf of Mauve, as required.
  • The ability to provide employment law updates.
  • An understanding of the employee work cycle and HR good practice, Recruitment, People Management, Performance Management, transfer of employees, Disciplinary and Grievance etc.
  • The ability to develop/amend appropriate policies and develop Employee Handbooks.
  • The ability to undertake employment contract reviews.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • The demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • The ability to collaborate and build relationships with our global teams.
  • Membership of a relevant HR professional body is an asset.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in European HR/employment law.
  • The ability to work remotely.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written.
  • References and/or recommendations.
