Mauve's Wales Week London Successes
From a hugely successful event to a prestigious shortlisting, it's been a big Wales Week London for Mauve
Wales Week London is well and truly underway and Mauve Group is celebrating a brilliant week of Welsh wonders.
Game Changers
Kicking off our own Wales Week celebrations on Tuesday 27th February was Game Changers: An Evening of Welsh Sport and Business, hosted in partnership with Welsh Athletics and Commonwealth Games Team Wales. The event featured a panel discussion on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) in Wales’s sporting and business worlds, with Welsh athletes Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, Aled Siôn Davies OBE, and Christian Malcolm.
Held in the beautiful surrounds of St. Ethelburga’s Centre for Peace and Reconciliation, one of London’s medieval churches, the evening drew attendees from across the Welsh sporting and business landscapes, and saw speeches from Team Wales CEO Rebecca Edwards-Symmons, Welsh Athletics CEO, James Williams, President and Vice-Chancellor of Cardiff Metropolitan University, Rachel Langford, and Mauve Group Head of Marketing, Kerry Katsapaos.
Game Changers was catered by the Cardiff-based Tidy Kitchen Company, and guests enjoyed their delicious canapes along with drinks supplied by Welsh brands Tiny Rebel and In the Welsh Wind, while listening to a beautiful performance by Welsh harpist Mared Emyr. Attendees left with gift bags containing samples from our Welsh supporters Penderyn whiskey, Burns’ Pet Food, and In the Welsh Wind, along with some Mauve Group goodies!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to our panellists, speakers, suppliers, and guests for a hugely enjoyable event.
Wales Technology Awards Finalists
And if the success of Game Changers wasn’t enough, Mauve Group celebrated yet again upon being informed that we are finalists for the International Impact Award at the Wales Technology Awards 2024!
The International Impact Award seeks to recognise Welsh tech companies demonstrating outstanding achievements and expansion beyond the U.K. The successful organisation will have introduced innovative services or products in new countries, expanded their team internationally, secured international contracts or clients, and, as a result, witnessed significant growth in their company turnover or team size, and will be committed to ED&I, and to battling climate change. Mauve Group is thrilled and honoured to be considered for this award. Stay tuned, as the winner will be announced at a prestigious ceremony on 22nd March 2024, at the Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel & Spa.
Overall, it has been a highly successful Wales Week 2024 for Welsh-owned Mauve Group, and we are delighted to have once again championed Welsh industry on the global stage.
