About

Served by the capital city of Yaoundé, Cameroon boasts a rich geographical and cultural diversity. Formed in 1961 through the union of a British and a French colony, the official languages are now English and French. Cameroon has some of the highest literacy rates in Africa, and continues to have one of the largest commodity economies in sub-Saharan Africa thanks to its oil reserves and agricultural sector.
