The role
Mauve Group is seeking to collaborate with an HR specialist / consultant / practitioner based in LATAM for a freelance consultancy role.
The ideal candidate will be self-employed, providing HR and employment advice on an ad hoc basis. The successful candidate may also wish to work this around their existing role.
We are looking for someone who has HR work experience in one or more of the following countries:
- Argentina
- Brazil
- Chile
- Colombia
- Costa Rica
- Honduras
- Panama
- Peru
- Uruguay
- Venezuela.

The successful partner will have:
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in law, employment law, or a related field.
Knowledge and experience
- A minimum of three years’ experience in HR/employment law.
- Demonstrable significant experience providing expert legal advice on relevant country employment law matters and practical application.
- Excellent knowledge of employment law, regulations, and statutes in a LATAM country, including collective bargaining arrangements.
- Capability to handle client employment law queries, directly or indirectly on behalf of Mauve, as required.
- Ability to provide employment law updates when required.
- Understanding of the employee work cycle and HR best practices in recruitment, people management, performance management, employee business transfers, disciplinary and grievance processes, etc.
- Capacity to develop/amend appropriate policies and create employee handbooks.
- Ability to undertake employment contract reviews.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships with global teams.
- Membership in a relevant HR professional body is an asset.
- Ability to work remotely.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to speak other languages other than English an advantage – Spanish and Portuguese essential.
- References and/or recommendations.
