- South Africa: ZAR 314,011 - ZAR 359,042 per annum (grade 3).
- Malta: EUR 18,679 - EUR 21,357 per annum (grade 3).

The main purpose of your role
The Global EOR Payroll Assistant is responsible for supporting the activities of the Payroll department.
You’ll coordinate monthly payroll activities across your allocated countries, liaising with clients and local payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate wage processing.
You’ll also support the Sales and Business Development teams by providing payroll simulations and handling follow-up queries. Attention to detail and strong communication are key.
Flexibility is essential – you’ll work general local office hours with occasional adjustments to accommodate US business hours.
What will you be doing as a Global EOR Payroll Assistant?
- Processing monthly payrolls efficiently and accurately across allocated countries.
- Tracking and applying payroll changes from clients.
- Ensuring new starters are registered promptly and leavers are processed correctly.
- Reviewing and approving payroll reports and invoices from local partners.
- Delivering payroll reports in time for employee pay dates.
- Providing monthly invoicing figures to Finance.
- Responding to payroll queries from employees and clients.
- Producing payroll cost simulations and supporting Sales/BD teams.
- Assisting the Payroll Manager with process reviews and project work.
- Monitoring local legislation to ensure compliance and inform clients of changes..
- Checking work from colleagues and supervising assistants, when required.
- Collaborating with payroll colleagues to minimise errors.
- Participating in client meetings to discuss payroll solutions and resolve issues.
- Communication & reporting.
- Notifying internal teams of legislative changes affecting employees or clients.
- Ensuring internal reports are updated accordingly.

Qualifications
Essential
- University degree in a related subject or relevant qualification.
Desirable
- Professional qualification or training in payroll.
Knowledge and experience
Essential
- 3+ years’ experience of working within a busy finance and/or payroll position.
- Must have the legal right to work in either South Africa or Malta.
- Knowledge of international business terminologies and application.
- Experience of business administration.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data.
Desirable
- Some knowledge of international payroll compliance.
- Experience of working with global payroll.
