Mauve launches 30th anniversary celebrations at Wales Week London 2026
Step into an unforgettable evening where Welsh business meets elite sport at Wales Week London 2026, as Mauve proudly unveiled the start of its 30th anniversary celebrations – marking three decades of global impact, innovation, and Welsh-rooted success.
Mauve Group kicked off its 30th anniversary celebrations last night, February 26th, at an evening reception celebrating an extraordinary year for Welsh sport, business, and leadership, as part of Wales Week London (WWL) 2026.
Journeys of Ambition 2026 was held in the historic Cholmondeley Room and Terrace at the House of Lords and hosted by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE on behalf of the three participating bodies.
Mauve Group and its Welsh branch Mauve Cymru, is a longstanding partner and supporter of Wales Week London, the largest annual showcase of activities and events celebrating Welsh excellence, and shares with Team Wales and Principality Building Society the goal of promoting Wales as a growing power on the global stage.
Last night’s event saw Team Wales mark the upcoming 23rd Commonwealth Games, which will be held in Glasgow this July. And Principality toasted its new leadership while Mauve Group celebrated its 30th anniversary – the first company invoice was sent from Llangollen post office three decades ago, this month.
Guests enjoyed exceptional drinks and canapés at a reception compered by Commonwealth Games Wales (CGW) Chef de Mission Gethin Jones, and listened to speeches from industry leaders including Ann Ellis, CEO and Co-founder of Mauve Group; Martin Reynolds, Deputy CEO at Commonwealth Sport; Jack Sargeant MS, Welsh Minister for Culture, Skills, and Social Partnerships; and Iain Mansfield, CEO of Principality.
The event also featured a panel discussion featuring Welsh athletes Iwan Thomas, former European, Commonwealth, and World 4 × 400m relay champion, and Anna Morris, world-champion track cyclist and Olympic medallist, who both discussed their achievements and journeys to becoming professional athletes.
The evening concluded with wonderful live music from Welsh of the West End.
Words from some of the evening's leaders
Speaking at the event, Welsh-born Mauve CEO, Ann Ellis, said:
It’s wonderful to be celebrating our 30th anniversary alongside Team Wales.
In 2023, we set up our Welsh company, Mauve Cymru, which we launched at Wales Week. Rebecca (Edwards-Symmons, CEO, Team Wales) came to our first event, and after that, we got together and agreed that Mauve would love to sponsor Team Wales.
Now, this is the third event we’ve co-hosted, and I couldn’t be happier to be marking this milestone together.

On working with Mauve Group, Martin Reynolds, Deputy CEO at Commonwealth Sport, shared:
Our values are humanity, equality, destiny, and we wanted to make sure that all of our team had a really fantastic experience working on Commonwealth Sport.
[Partnering with Mauve] helped us focus on the people, while Ann and her brilliant team focused on the process and all of the very different and challenging ways of navigating the global workplace.
They’ve given huge support to us in terms of supporting our international team and helped us to put the commonwealth back into Commonwealth Sport. We want to make sure that all the nations are represented.
If you are looking to employ or diversify overseas, definitely talk to Mauve. They’re a small, passionate company, they’re all in, it’s fantastic they’re supporting Team Wales and will be there, cheering on the athletes. That really matters to us.
