There is currently no minimum wage in Anguilla, but a Minimum Wage Advisory Committee has been set up to establish a minimum wage.

Bonuses

There are no statutory bonus schemes in Anguilla.

Employers in Anguilla must create a contract letter within ten days of employee engagement, which includes:

Annual Leave

Minimum of 12 days' paid holiday after one year of service, rising to 15 days after five years and 20 days after ten years.

Sick Leave

14 days' paid sick leave after one year of service. Part-time employees accrue one day of sick leave for every 22 days worked (after 110 days of employment).

Parental Leave

• Maternity leave: 14 days' paid leave after one year of service, plus a maternity grant after 26 weeks of employment.
• Paternity leave: 2 weeks' paid leave (at a percentage of their basic wage) plus one month's unpaid leave.

Termination Process

Employers in Anguilla can terminate a contract provided they give notice in line with legal requirements.

Additional grounds for termination include:

• Repeated or serious misconduct
• Not performing at the expected standard
• Redundancy

Employees can also give notice of termination in line with their contract terms.

Severance Pay

Severance pay in Anguilla depends on the employee's length of service. Employees are entitled to up to three weeks' wages per year of service.
