Medtech sector: Creo Medical

Creo Medical is an innovative global medical device manufacturer, dedicated to improving patient outcomes by applying Advanced Energy to the emerging field of surgical endoscopy. The company was founded in 2003, aiming to leverage high-frequency microwave energy and dynamic matching techniques to treat cancer.

With time, it expanded into medical device development and rebranded as Creo Medical in 2010. Creo Medical employs 281 people, across 14 global offices in nine countries, and boasts 318 patents. In 2023, Creo Medical wished to expand into The Netherlands.

However, Creo Medical did not have an existing entity or payroll presence in The Netherlands. As establishing in-country entities and payroll systems can be time consuming and costly, Creo Medical needed to find a more efficient route to entering this new market.

The challenge: hiring in the Netherlands

Creo Medical needed to hire professionals in the Netherlands, however lacked an in-country presence or payroll system. It faced the challenge of negotiating hiring professionals in a region where it had no expertise. This posed a number of issues for Creo Medical’s leaders.

NGO sector: Humentum

Global NGO Humentum is a global, non-profit organisation partnering with social good organisations to unlock the strategic power of their operating models. It focuses on practical solutions to improve the effectiveness of finance, people, risk, and compliance processes.

Humentum employs a workforce across North America, Central and South America, UK and Europe, Africa, and Asia.

The non-profit organisation approached Mauve as it wished to partner with an expert service provider to employ workers in 19 countries around the world. It required support to employ local and specialised talent in countries where it did not have existing entities. It wished to secure support with onboarding, payroll, and ongoing employment in these countries.

The challenge: hiring overseas

Humentum was formed in 2017 by the merger of InsideNGO, LINGOs, and Mango. The leaders of these organisations felt they could accomplish more as one global organisation, working together, than as individual organisations.

G. Güldenpfennig GmbH is a thriving international company importing discount apparel. Based in Germany, G. Güldenpfennig GmbH employs a large global workforce. While the company had close to 20 years of experience working with global hiring services, it hoped to find a trusted Employer of Record to support it with navigating the hiring, onboarding and payrolling of a worker in the US.

G. Güldenpfennig GmbH operates a fast-paced, international workforce. It wished to hire a worker in the US but did not have a legal in-country entity.
