Africa Update:

New Solutions Coming Soon!

As we established back in October of this year in our article Africa on The Move: 2018’s Key Trends in African Workforce Mobility, interest in Africa has increased dramatically in line with healthy signals from economies across the continent and huge demand for worker mobility in and around the region. Demand for Africa from Mauve’s existing and prospect client base has likewise seen a huge upward trend of around a 63% increase in requests, and as a result our diligent Research department has been working tirelessly to bring you solutions in African locations not already covered by our network. Zambia and Ghana are two such solutions launching imminently; below we break down the services we will be providing in each location as they go live.



Mauve Group can provide a live immigration solution for Zambia. Most visitors will require a visa to enter Zambia for any purpose, with some nationality exceptions, and will require an Employment Visa in order to work. The Ministry of Home Affairs Department of Immigration has 4 main principles to its immigration policy:

  • An immigrant to Zambia must have a contribution to make in form of skills, professional or capital.
  • An immigrant should not deprive a Zambian of employment
  • An immigrant should not be a charge of the state
  • An immigrant intending to settle in Zambia must be in possession of a permit.

Should you have a corporate requirement for immigration services, our Global Immigration department can support the Employment visa application, as well as other visa types like Tourist Visas, Business Permits, Temporary Employment Permits and so on.

Employer of Record and Payroll Services:

Our research and development team are close to finalising a solution in Zambia which will allow provision of Employer of Record services and standalone payroll solutions. Solutions of this kind allow companies to compliantly employ their workers in overseas locations while they determine the possibility of setting up an entity.



We are also in the process of establishing a corporate immigration solution in Ghana – this will encompass applications for work and residency permits, non-citizen ID cards, business visas and visas on arrival as applicable for the worker in question. We will also be able to support applications for dependents where required.

Employer of Record and Payroll Services:

In tandem with the corporate immigration solution, our Research department is in the final stages of developing the EoR and payroll solutions for Ghana. As in Zambia, your organisation can tailor-make your solution package to suit the situation’s individual requirements; some will request a risk assessment report on their current operations in-country to explore potential compliance and efficiency improvements, and then add an EoR solution or company set-up/payroll arrangement to the project depending on the recommendations of the report.
