A look at Mauve Group at SHRM24 in Chicago
Read a roundup of our key moments, while we exhibited our global solutions at SHRM24 in Chicago, late this June.
Just like that, it’s a wrap on SHRM24! The world’s largest annual HR conference happened last week at McCormick Place in Chicago, USA – with 400+ speakers, 375+ sessions, and 26,000 global HR professionals in attendance.
Below, catch up on the why and who behind our presence at this year’s event. Plus, learn what and how our global mobility solutions help clients to expand their operations overseas.
Why does Mauve Group exhibit at SHRM?
Every year, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) brings together a mix of celebrated, senior practitioners and visionaries in global HR, Recruitment & Talent Acquisition, and Mental Health & Wellness, to name a few.
The aim? To foster an environment of learning, networking, and professional growth among industry peers.
And this year’s agenda was no different. All thanks to timely topics including, but not limited to:
- AI in the workplace;
- Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I);
- Workplace culture, empathy, and work-life integration;
- People & talent management; and
- Compensation & benefits.
Personally, what made it more special? Mauve Group’s return to the four-day event marked our 11th time exhibiting!
Cross-border talent mobility is a critical pillar of strategy. That means businesses and organizations, the world over, leverage our services and products. So, it was a treat to showcase our solutions to companies from various sectors (but more on these a little later).
Who from Mauve Group exhibited at SHRM24?
Attendees took the opportunity to meet and put their global mobility-related questions to the following members of Mauve Group, stationed at Booth #632 in the Expo Hall:
- Ann Ellis, CEO and Co-founder;
- Kerry Katsapaos, Head of Marketing;
- Louise Reposo, Global Account Manager;
- John Jaques, Business Development Executive;
- Jaime Bustamante, Business Development Expert; and
- Teresa Lewis, Business Development & In-country Representative.
Members of Mauve Group flew to the ‘Windy City’ from Dubai, UAE; Paphos, Cyprus; Dublin, Ireland; Bogotá, Colombia; and Edinburgh, Scotland.
We’re proud that our team reflects our international reach, insight, and expertise as a leading global HR and workforce solutions provider – with over 28 years’ experience serving 150+ countries, across 70+ sectors.
What did Mauve Group offer at the booth?
All work, no play is never any fun! And SHRM delivers the entertainment quotient on the final evening. Take this year’s “Tuesday Night Show”.
The line-up featured a performance from American Idol winner and Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson, as well an original stand-up routine by the iconic, late night television host and comedian Jay Leno.
Meanwhile, we incorporated creative elements and on-stand activities. Visitors spun our roulette wheel to win branded prizes. We made furry friends along the way – meet Nash, pictured below right with his lovely owner Theresa Jhensen, Global VP of HR at API Heat Transfer Company. Plus, we met fellow CEOs (including Gia Wiggins, Auditocity – pictured below left) and clients (including Samantha from the University of Chicago – pictured on the right, among Mauve's CEO Ann and BD Executive Teresa).
That’s not all! Before SHRM24, we launched our grand prize giveaway! To enter, attendees completed three steps to collect correlating stamps. The final step and stamp culminated with a visit to indulge in our on-stand drinks mixer, held on 06/25, and submit said 'Pizza Passport' to our team.
Congratulations to Maria Brennan, Head of Human Resources – US and Canada at Biocodex, Inc. Pictured below right with Mauve CEO Ann Ellis, Maria won the duo of $600 travel vouchers and a four-wheel Samsonite cabin suitcase. Happy travelling!
