2024 is drawing to a close and, at Mauve, we’re looking back at an amazing year. The past 12 months have seen some wonderful achievements for Mauve Group, as we continued to strive for excellence in every facet of our work.

In 2024, Mauve’s service offering and partnerships grew, we were finalists or winners of a number of awards, and produced cutting-edge research.

Expanding our reach

With 28 years of experience in the world of global employment solutions, Mauve Group is present in over 150 countries worldwide.

In 2024, Mauve Group onboarded 294 new Employer of Record workers globally and added 39 new organisations to our roster of valued clients.

Global recognition

Thanks to the hard work of our global teams, this year Mauve was a finalist for no fewer than five awards and the winner of two.

We were finalists in for:

Our CEO Ann Ellis won the Institute of Directors 'International Director of the Year' award this year. The HRM Asia Readers' Choice Awards also awarded Mauve Group the title of Employer of Record Provider of the Year.

The High Growth 50 list for 2024 included Mauve Group. This prestigious report is compiled by leading marketing communications agency MC2, in partnership with Beauhurst and the London Stock Exchange.

Success stories

In 2024, Mauve Group garnered 142 Trustpilot reviews, a 92% increase in reviews. 98% of our reviews are four and five stars. Our last review received before publication is from an Employer of Record worker who was recently onboarded with Mauve.

“I had a very helpful onboarding experience with the whole Mauve team. They go above and beyond to lead even the trickiest onboarding cases to success. A big thank you to Matthew onboarding me.”

External press

This year, Mauve was proud to feature in a multitude of external content published around the world. In fact, we had 93 industry insight and thought leadership pieces published. Some highlights include:

Strengthening our leadership

This year, Mauve strengthened our leadership team. Lorna Ferrie, Joanna Hart, and Annette Ord joined our team of Directors. Each new appointment brings to the role decades of experience in global business expansion from their tenure at Mauve Group.

Our commitment to expanding our director team underscores our position as a leader in the global mobility industry.

The newly expanded team of Directors join Chris Williams, Mauve’s People and Culture Director. Together, they have begun to implement policies to help drive growth, improve services, and support more companies to seamlessly employ, pay, and manage HR globally.

Worldwide events

This year, Mauve Group hosted a successful event in London, hosted in partnership with Welsh Athletics and Commonwealth Games Team Wales.

Game Changers: An Evening of Welsh Sport and Business featured a panel discussion on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) in Wales’ sporting and business worlds. Welsh athletes Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, Aled Siôn Davies OBE, and Christian Malcolm all spoke at the event.

Mauve representatives also attended several international events. These included conventions like SHRM in Chicago and the HRM Asia Awards in Singapore. Mauve had a stand at the PIE Live in Australia’s Gold Coast. Mauve team members also travelled to Switzerland.

Caroline and Abi exhibited our solutions to aid and humanitarian leaders at AidEx in Switzerland.

Supporting our local and global communities

Throughout 2024, Mauve Group has focused on partnering with organisations and charities that directly impact and support local communities, such as:

Team Wales: Last year, our Welsh company Mauve Cymru partnered with Team Wales in the run-up to its athletes participating in the Trinbago 2023 Youth Games. This year, we continued our partnership with Team Wales, and hosted a successful event as part of Wales Week London, Game Changers: An Evening of Welsh Sport and Business.

2B Enterprising: Last year, Mauve partnered with a local primary school to encourage enterprise skills. We use educational resources, workshops, and books, to encourage the development of these important skills. This year, we were proud to continue this partnership, fostering the next generation of business leaders.

All-Ireland Business Foundation: Mauve Group has partnered with the All-Ireland Business Foundation (AIBF) and the University of Limerick to produce original research on the internationalisation of Irish SMEs.

Teresa Lewis, Mauve's Ireland Rep and Business Development Executive, discussed our partnership and research on an interesting podcast. Find the episode here.

Latin America report

Together with LatAm Intersect PRMauve Group launched a new report examining the experience of expatriate workers in Latin America.

The title of the report is Planismo. This is a reference to the Uruguayan art movement of the same name – referring to the ‘flattening’ of traditional boundaries, resulting in the intersection of different planes.

In this context, it is employed to reference the breaking down of boundaries and increasing interconnectedness of today’s working world, as a result of global mobility.

As Planismo explains, “This new era allows for increased innovation and flexibility, particularly in the ‘nearshoring’ Latin American corporate landscape.”

The report outlines the areas where employers must take greater responsibility when relocating workers or expanding companies overseas. It is available here.

We’d like to thank everyone who made this such a significant year for Mauve. To find out more about our services and how we can be your partners in global success in 2025, contact us today.
